The Farabi Cinema Foundation has launched the \u201cIran Cinema Umbrella\u201d at the 79th Cannes Film Market (March\u00e9 du Film), dedicating this year\u2019s presence to the memory of the children who lost their lives in Minab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Farabi\u2019s public relations office, the decision comes in response to the country\u2019s recent circumstances, with the pavilion featuring the names of these children and a memorial book for international guests to share their messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranian pavilion presents a broad showcase of the country\u2019s cinematic achievements, including classic works from the Farabi Cinema Foundation and a special tribute to the late filmmaker Dariush Mehrjui. It also introduces new productions from Farabi, the Documentary and Experimental Film Center, and the Iranian Youth Cinema Society to global distributors and cultural organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside these activities, Farabi officials have arranged a series of meetings with representatives from international film festivals, distribution companies, and national film institutions to strengthen cultural exchange and expand cinematic cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A key focus of Iran\u2019s presence this year is initiating discussions for international co-productions centered on the students of the \u201cShajareh Tayyibah\u201d school in Minab.
